8th North Bay Plein Air - Petaluma, CA

It was a gloomy afternoon, with drops of rain briefly in Novato. Although it was a bit chilly, that didn't stop 9 North Bay members to trek out to the Petaluma Marina. Cloud formations were amazing and scattered lighting along the hills were great! During the late afternoon, the sun decided to peak out and cleared a path to some blue skies.

Here's our results for the day.

We gathered around 3pm and shared our findings around the Marina.

Such a great display of different mediums used on location.

Thank you to Alfredo's hospitality and opening his studio doors to our paint out group members!

Beautiful studio and school, perfect for anyone interested in learning to paint figurative and landscapes.

  1. Fabulous write-up of our paintout! Thanks for taking pictures of my pastel. I thought you were taking pictures of the fueling station...It was cold but when the sun came out over those hills and lit up the trees - simply beautiful. I'm sorry I didn't work up another painting I was caught up in watching the other artists work.
