26th North Bay Plein Air Paintout - Sugar Ridge State Park, Sunday May 22nd, 12:30pm - 4pm

Location: Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

2605 Adobe Canyon Road

Kenwood, CA 95452

There are a lot of hiking trails you can explore, from very easy to pretty advanced if you choose. The more strenuous trails have great views of vistas.

Getting there:

The road to the park is right between Oakmont and Kenwood. Turn on Adobe Canyon (it can be easy to miss if you're not careful) from Highway 12 and follow the road all the way up to the park. On the way there you will find a couple of pull-out's/parking spaces.

This path will lead you along a pretty stream.

This is an example of one of the vistas you can find at the top of the hills.

Up the road you can park near a waterfall that you can hike down to.

Once you get to the main part of the park, you can find the entrance to all of the main trails.

The Vista Trail will take you up to views like these:

Agenda
12:30 - 1:00pm - We'll meet briefly at the parking lot or feel free to start painting!

1:00 - 4:00pm - Let's Paint!

4:00 - 4:30pm - Meet back at parking lot. We will share our findings, techniques or just to chat (not a critique).
