23rd NBPA - St. Vincent's Church, San Rafael - Feb. 27, 12:30pm - 4:00pm

Heavy rain, hail and winds possibly in our forecast. So we have decided to paint at St. Vincent's Church in San Rafael. The group painted here back in May 2009 and in January 2010. If it begins to rain, there are plenty of covered hallways along the side and back of the Church.
Directions
The location is very easy to get to, it's just off Hwy 101. Exit St. Vincent Drive and follow the road into the parking lot of the Church. Click here for Google map and get directions.

Agenda
12:30 - 1:00pm - We'll meet briefly at the chruch stairs or feel free to start painting!
1:00 - 4:00pm - Let's Paint!
4:00 - 4:30pm - Let's meet back at the front of the church stairs to share our findings, techniques or just to chat (not a critique). If it rains, we'll meet in the outdoor hallway to the left of the church.

There is a private lot with FREE parking.

Meetup Page Donations
Greetings to all our plein air painters and fans, we've just added a donation button on our Meetup page as well. Very easy and straight forward options.

22nd NBPA Plein Air Paintout - Results
Although it rained all morning, we got a break just in time for our paintout at the Marin Art & Garden Center. There was plenty of shelter underneath the corridors, though it was still pretty cold for some of us.

Just in case it stared raining again, this gazebo became another option for shelter. For now Hung decided to paint it.

We're already thinking of coming back in the Spring to get the full effect of the garden!!!
Church services took place at the building below.
It made a great subject for 2 of our painters to paint.
To the left you'll find the Pratum Children's Library.

Check out all those books from floor to ceiling! And you'll find numerous knick-knacks along the window display and front counter. While there, Gerald also had a chance to meet another local painter named Josie. Maybe we'll have a new painter join us for a future paintout?
To the left you'll find the Pratum Children's Library.
Gerald had the chance to meet the library owner Todd Pratum and spent some time inside browsing through some of their art books before they closed. Such a warm and welcoming place :)
